... Garcia Design, Inc. was the land planning consultant for this 1600-acre new community in Austin. The project includes entitlements for up to 5500 residential units, 2.9 million square feet of commercial, a golf course, a hike/bike trail network, a transit site, a church, two schools, nature preserve, five parks, and a village commercial center. Garcia Design, Inc. prepared and processed the PUD zoning application for the property. Environmental features were integrated into the project with landscape restoration of degraded pastureland, artificial wetlands for water quality, designating extra buffer of open space along creeks and waterways, and locating and preserving critical environmental features so the new community is in harmony with nature.
